Horses are highly social animals. In the wild, they are always touching and interacting in one form or another. Whether it's bumping into each other, sniffing, kicking, striking, or when they are showing affection by huddling together nudging nose to nose. Family bonds are tight and protected. So watching them interact brings me a lot of peace.
This is a herd from the Onaqui herd management area in Utah's west desert taken in the summer of 2021.
