This photo was taken in McCullough Peaks Herd Management Area outside Cody, Wyoming. The baby in the image couldn't have been born more than a week earlier.
He ended up being one of my main focuses of the trip. Once I spotted him, focusing on the other horses was hard. I kept working, following him and his mother around until this picture came together. The sky, composition, and light were right. The perfect moment.
